Supplementing revenue beyond tuition income is very important to the Holy Redeemer Catholic School community of parents, students, faculty and staff. Catholic education in Catholic schools is a critical element in guaranteeing the future of the Catholic Church in America.
Studies support the reality that tomorrow's Church leaders are in Catholic schools today. When tested on their knowledge of Catholic doctrine, liturgical practices, Gospel teachings and understanding of Catholic cultural elements which support the development of confident Catholic adults, Catholic School graduates far exceed their public school Catholic counterparts. They also exceed their peers who have been taught Catholic doctrine, liturgy, Gospel and practice in weekly Parish Catechetical programs.
Supporting a stable and viable school in today’s economy requires careful management of our income and assets as well as a commitment to long range planning and anticipating the needs of the future well in advance. Our school leadership, including our Principal, Operations Director, finance committee, Parent Advisory Council as well as faculty and staff are all aware of the trust placed in us to be good stewards of the treasure we are provided at Holy Redeemer.
Knowing that we must do our best to guard against Catholics losing access to a Catholic School education we must also ensure that our students are offered an academic educational opportunity that will allow them to excell and meet their non-Catholic school peers with a superior academic preparation. Up-to-date technology and textbooks, well prepared and skillful teachers, maintaining just compensation and benefits for our employees, meeting rising utility, maintenance and insurance costs all must be taken into consideration as we budget for each year.
We must therefore look to other sources to supplement tuition revenue so that we can provide the excellent, academic Catholic education our families desire and our Church must have within the economic limitations of our community's ability to pay rising tuition rates.
There are many ways available for you to help and support Holy Redeemer Catholic School in filling this gap. Plan a gift now for the future. Assist us in identifying and accessing community resources you may have already an established relationship with. And don't forget your employer may offer a matching gift program that we can share in that will increase your gift value.
We need and value your help. We believe in our school and are not hesitant to tell others about all the good that we experience in this learning and teaching community each day. Because we believe in our school and the Gospel when it teaches us that talents are to be invested and increased, not merely held, we believe there is no better place to invest in and increase our Catholic Church than in our Catholic school.
