Student organizing sandwich bags

Holy Redeemer Catholic School proudly completed another meaningful and impactful “Service From the Heart” school-wide service project, continuing a cherished tradition held each year on Valentine’s Day. Rooted in faith, compassion, and community, this special day provided students across all grade levels the opportunity to serve others with love and generosity.

Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of hands-on service activities benefiting several organizations. With joyful hearts and a spirit of giving, students prepared sandwiches for The Sandwich Project, helping to provide meals for those in need. Others assembled supply bags for refugee children in partnership with Catholic Charities of Atlanta, offering comfort and essential items to families beginning new lives.

Students also extended their care to The Drake House by creating thoughtfully packed supply bags for women and children experiencing homelessness. In addition, students partnered with Smasherson to make cheerful, joke-filled cards designed for children undergoing radiation treatment, helping to brighten their countdown calendars with smiles and encouragement.

“Service From the Heart” continues to be a beautiful reflection of Holy Redeemer’s mission to live out the Gospel through acts of kindness and service. By dedicating Valentine’s Day to serving others, students are reminded that love is best expressed not only in words but in action.

Holy Redeemer is proud of its students for their compassion, enthusiasm, and commitment to making a difference. This annual tradition remains a powerful example of faith in action and a testament to the strong, service-centered community at HR.
