Letter From HSA Co-Presidents
As Co-Presidents of the Home and School Association (HSA), we Bri Melhouse and Sarah Simmons want to give you the warmest welcome to our incredible school community! Combined, we have six children enrolled at HR. The Melhouse children are Lincoln (6th), Elliot (4th) and Kennedy (2nd). The Simmons children are Molly Kate (4th), Sam (3rd), and Vinny (2nd). We are looking forward to meeting you and helping you as you begin your first year at Holy Redeemer.
Holy Redeemer isn’t just a school—it’s a home, a place rich with cherished traditions, supportive families, and a spirit of togetherness that makes it truly special. We can’t wait for you to be a part of it!
We know that starting at a new school can feel like a whirlwind—exciting but maybe a little overwhelming, too. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there! That’s why we want you to know: you are not alone. Your mentor family, the HSA Board, and our entire community are here to support you. Have questions? Need guidance? Just want a friendly face to say hello? Never hesitate to reach out with questions or to just say hello.
One of the best ways to feel at home is to jump in and get involved—and trust us, your kids will love seeing you participate! Every parent at Holy Redeemer is automatically a member of the HSA, and there are so many ways to contribute, whether you have a little time or a lot. At Meet and Greet, you’ll have a chance to explore different volunteer opportunities. If something piques your interest, just fill out the Google form, and we’ll be happy to connect you to the right person.
We’d also love to personally invite you to our New Parent Dinner, a beloved Holy Redeemer tradition! This special evening in August is a fantastic way to meet members of the faculty, staff, and HSA Board, who will be happy to answer any questions as you settle in. Keep an eye out for your invitation in your summer mailing packet, and be sure to RSVP to Mrs. Battaglia in the Enrollment Office at pbattaglia@hrcatholicschool.org.
As a special welcome gift from the HSA, we’re excited to present you with a spirit bag, car license plate and car magnet so you can show off your Holy Redeemer pride in style!
We’re absolutely thrilled to have you as part of our Holy Redeemer family, and we can’t wait to get to know you. Here’s to an amazing year ahead!
With joy and gratitude,
Holy Redeemer Home and School Association
