Grades 3-5
Students in grades 3-5 take a step toward middle school by learning organizational skills that include recording of homework, note taking and learning how to study for tests. These students move from concrete to more abstract reasoning in all subjects across the curriculum. Students enjoy having both grade level core subject teachers while exploring various specials such as Spanish, French, music, art, technology, PE and media center.
Students continue to deepen their appreciation of others through service projects that include a year-round recycling project, heading up a school wide blanket drive and collecting backpacks to benefit the Foster Care Foundation.
Third graders prepare the Nativity pageant that is presented each year before Christmas break which the entire school body enjoys. All grades take turns hosting a special Mass each year with fourth grade hosting each All Saints Mass. They research a saint of their choosing and give an oral report in class while presenting their saint doll during the Mass. Fifth graders show their writing and research skills when they work collaboratively on a Constitution and government assignment.
