Grades 6-8

 

Holy Redeemer strives to provide a seamless and supportive transition into Middle School where students will try new things and learn through both successes and challenges. Students experience a dedicated teacher for each subject and find the organizational and study skills they perfect lead to successes while at Holy Redeemer and after they graduate.

 

Language arts instruction incorporates both a reading and vocabulary class and a writing and grammar class providing a strong foundation for high school. Foreign language becomes a core subject with a choice of French or Spanish. A STREAM (science, technology, religion, engineering, art and math) class taught once a week completes the science curriculum. All students participate in the yearly musical which is part of the music curriculum.

 

Middle School students continue to grow in their faith by participating in Masses and grade level service projects. Additionally, individual school service hours are required. 8th-graders have the opportunity to experience retreats throughout the year. Middle school students take on a leadership role in the Saint Families program and 8th graders truly cherish the 8th/kindergarten buddy program.
